Cape Breton, Nova Scotia

Tia here with another travel blog - just a mini one this time. Summer of 2017, My fam and I made a trip to visit some relatives in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. What a beautiful place. I DREAM to live there one day.

Our first day there, we took a walk downtown North Sydney to check out the marina. North Sydney is a small town in Cape Breton where the ferries depart to head to Newfoundland. It's the COOLEST thing to watch the ferries leave the dock. I've been on it a couple times but I was so young and it was night time, so I don't remember too much. But what's really awesome is you can take your car across the water. Great for people who want to do a road trip!

My favourite beach is also at the marina. It's an all-rock beach right off the side of the road. I love it so much because of the endless sea glass! I love love love sea glass. It makes beautiful room decorations, great for artwork, and just overall so dang cool. How amazing it is that glass can change into something to remarkable?

Basically the entire trip consisted of the beach. The entire area my family is from, there is a beach no more than 5 minutes away. It's so nice having the ocean so close at all times. And each beach is unique in its own way.

Another amazing part of Cape Breton is the hiking! We visited this beautiful place called Uisge Ban Falls Provincial Park. My cousin showed me this spot, just on the outskirts of Baddeck, and it was such a great experience. Along the trail, we came across the most amazing warped nature. There were trees with the roots wrapped around large boulders. So cool!

Another one of our adventures was a drive around Cabot Trail. Okay real talk here, if you haven't done this yet, you're missing out BIG TIME. This is an incredible and beautiful drive with so many amazing places along the way. Take a look at this gorgeous gallery:

Such a beautiful trip and I am so glad to have such a special place to call home. If you ever get the chance to visit the East Coast, I highly recommend. It's a beautiful place with so much to do and see. Send me your pictures when you visit! I'd love to see them all. Bye for now, guys!
